LAPUYAN, Zamboanga del Sur - Police operatives of Lapuyan Municipal Police Station led by
Police Captain Orlyn P Leyte, Officer In-Charge, conducted police operation
(Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Sumenlad, Barangay Tiguha, Lapuyan,
Zamboanga del Sur at about 9:30 AM on May 28, 2019.
The operation was resulted to the
arrest of Toriano Bitayan Y Gampong, 63 years old, married, farmer and a
resident of Purok Sumenlad, Barangay Tiguha, Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur.
The accused was arrested by Virtue of
Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape, docketed under Criminal Case No.
19-068, dated 12 April 2019, issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, Ninth Judicial
Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond recommended.
He is now temporarily detained at
Lapuyan MPS detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.
